About me:

My name is Destiny Oduh, and I am the Owner, Director, and Registered Manager of Heritage Healthcare Basildon. At 24, I'm the youngest franchisee within the Heritage Healthcare group.

I hold a BSc in Biomedical Sciences and an MSc in Biomedical Engineering. My healthcare career began at 19 as a Healthcare Assistant in NHS hospitals, progressing to Deputy Manager in domiciliary care.

At Heritage Healthcare Basildon, I lead with empathy, professionalism, and innovation, ensuring every individual we care for feels respected, supported, and valued.

Background:

My academic training in Biomedical Sciences and Engineering gave me a strong foundation in human health and evidence-based care.

Starting as a Healthcare Assistant at 19, I learnt the importance of empathy and human connection in healthcare. Transitioning into domiciliary care, I advanced to Deputy Manager, gaining leadership experience in team management, compliance, and maintaining high care standards.

Outside healthcare, I competed in semi-professional football and professional futsal at national level. High-performance sport taught me discipline, teamwork, leadership, and resilience, qualities I bring to my role every day.

Today, I combine my scientific background, frontline care experience, and competitive drive to lead a service that exceeds expectations and builds a legacy of excellence in Basildon.

My Motivation:

Heritage Healthcare Basildon was born from a desire to bring compassion, quality, and trust to home care. Having seen firsthand how important it is for individuals to feel valued, my mission is to create a service where both clients and carers are treated with respect and dignity.

I'm committed to empowering people, restoring independence, and ensuring families have peace of mind knowing their loved ones are in capable hands.
