Our Experience at the Salvation Army Employment Fair

Recently, we had the privilege of participating in the Employment Fair hosted by The Salvation Army, an event aimed at equipping individuals with the skills and confidence needed to pursue meaningful employment opportunities.
Event Overview
The Salvation Army organises the Employment Fair multiple times a year, focusing on assisting their members who have been unemployed for extended periods. The primary goal is to provide participants with the necessary tools and resources to become job-ready. This includes skills development, confidence-building workshops, and networking opportunities with various organisations.
Our Contribution
Among the organisations present at the fair, Heritage Healthcare (Wandsworth) stood out as the sole representative from the care sector. We were honoured to showcase the career opportunities available in domiciliary care to individuals looking to make a difference in their community through compassionate and dedicated homecare.

Throughout the event, our team engaged enthusiastically with attendees, discussing the rewarding aspects of working in the care sector and providing insights into the skills and qualifications needed.
We also networked with a lot of the organisations in our area such as the DWP and a local training provider.
