Heritage Healthcare at the GOLD Tea Dance
POSTED: 18/07/2024
Recently, we attended the GOLD Tea Dance in Darlington Market Square, where we invited some of our clients to come along and enjoy an afternoon tea as well as live entertainment.
On Wednesday 17th July, we had the pleasure of participating in the GOLD (Growing Older Living in Darlington) Tea Dance, an event hosted by Darlington Borough Council in the Market Square. This event was open to the public and was a perfect opportunity for us to connect with the community, share information about our services, and enjoy a delightful afternoon of entertainment.
Treating Our Clients

To make the day even more special, we invited some of our clients to join us at the event. They were transported to and from the event by our fantastic carers and were treated to a lovely afternoon tea, provided by ourselves. The afternoon tea was a big hit with our service users, offering a nice mix of snacks and drinks that added to the fun of the day.
Engaging with the Community
As part of the event, we set up a stall to provide visitors with details about the high-quality care services we offer. Our team was on hand to answer questions, provide leaflets, and discuss how we support our clients in maintaining independence and quality of life. It was a great chance to engage with the community and highlight the compassionate care that Heritage Healthcare is known for.
A Special Appearance by the Mayor

The event was graced with the presence of the Mayor Councillor, Bob Donoghue, who gave a wonderful opening speech before stepping down from the stage to mingle with attendees and local businesses.
Great Entertainment

The entertainment for the day was top-notch, featuring performances by The “Lipsticks” and the ‘Texas Toe Tappers,’ who left our clients and other attendees entertained for hours. Their lively acts brought smiles to everyone’s faces and got many tapping their toes and clapping along.
We had a great time at The GOLD Tea Dance, and we look forward to attending future events. Thank you to Darlington Borough Council and GOLD for organising such a delightful day.
