Maire Binks with Franchise of the Year 2022 award.
During Marie’s first year with Heritage Healthcare, she was awarded the New Franchisee of the Year Award for the fantastic work she had been doing in Wakefield throughout 2017.
This award was the start of Marie’s tremendous career and the catalyst for her future success, as her most recent expansion into Barnsley.
Following this Marie was named Heritage Healthcare’s Franchise of the Year in 2022 due to the overwhelming success of her Kirklees branch. This award once again showed Marie’s dedication and hard work to make sure as many people as possible deserver the high-quality care that they deserve.
Awarded 5 Star Rating by Local Council
In August of 2023, a survey was conducted by the Kirklees Council, giving employees an opportunity to share their thoughts and experiences working for their employer. The survey asked for feedback on the organisation’s recruitment process, training programs, support provided by management teams, and more.
Marie explained that from this feedback, they were awarded and recognised as a 5-star employer. She is extremely grateful to all of her carers who participated in this survey, and still uses the comments, that we received, today to make sure our carers feel supported and looked after.
CQC Overall Good Rating

‘Good’ rating from CQC
Their latest inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) was Tuesday 21st September 2021, where they were given an overall good rating by the inspector. Marie had later been reviewed and have managed to keep this rating, (their latest review was Thursday 6th July 2023).
From the latest inspection, we were shown to deliver a high-quality care service with a clear emphasis on people. Our staff demonstrated the service’s vision and values, focusing on exceptional care through robust governance and active staff involvement. Safeguarding measures, risk management, and infection control were strong, with sufficient staffing levels ensuring safe medicine administration and support for independence.
Care plans were person-centred, detailed, and respectful of people’s privacy and dignity. Individuals were encouraged to maintain a balanced diet, supported in making choices, and actively engaged in their care. Concerns and complaints were promptly addressed, and consideration was given to how improvements were made. Collaborations with partner organisations helped shape and enhance the service, ensuring adherence to current best practices and legislation.
A full inspection report can be found on the CQC website.
From receiving this rating, Marie was immensely grateful for all the hard work the entire team put in, she hopes to continue to maintain this rating and even exceed it and receive an outstanding rating in the future.

Along our journey, we have amassed an impressive 9.7 / 10 rating on homecare.co.uk. This rating is based on client feedback/testimonials.
“Great carers, keep me updated about any changes that are made, are helpful in keeping in touch with Social Services and best of all my
mum loves a good chat with every one of her carers. They ensure all her needs are met from getting up in the morning, showering, giving medication, and making meals. I would recommend Heritage Healthcare to anyone going through a similar situation with an elderly relative.”
Another testimonial emphasizing the exceptional care provided by our company:
“From the first day service starts Mum has received first class service from all carers. Previously reluctant to have carers but she is very happy now and looks forward to them calling.”
At Heritage Healthcare Wakefield and Kirklees, our clients are the heart of our business. We make sure they are treated with the utmost care and respect.
