LATEST NEWS – Cheadle & Wilmslow

We recently had the pleasure of visiting Long Stone Manor Care Home to take part in a Dementia Awareness event, and it was a truly meaningful experience for our team here at Cheadle & Wilmslow.

Spending time with residents and staff gave us the opportunity to have open conversations about dementia, share insights, and better understand the day-to-day experiences of those living with the condition. It was incredibly valuable to connect with others who are just as passionate about delivering compassionate, person-centred care.

For us, dementia awareness goes beyond knowledge—it’s about building genuine connections, showing patience, and recognising each individual’s story. Events like this allow us to continue learning, while also supporting others in creating environments that feel safe, familiar, and respectful.

We’re proud to be part of a community that is committed to raising awareness and improving the quality of care for those living with dementia, and we look forward to continuing to work closely with local partners like Long Stone Manor Care Home.
