I grew up surrounded by care, my mum was a district nurse and later a registered nurse in a care home, and that early experience inspired me to follow in her footsteps and build a career focused on helping others.Background:
After completing university, I began working as a Personal Assistant for a woman who was a wheelchair user, before moving into supported living services for adults with learning disabilities. Over eight years, I progressed from a part-time Support Worker to a full-time Support Leader, overseeing three properties and managing a team of staff.When I moved back to Barnsley to be closer to family, I joined a domiciliary care company as a Care Coordinator, before taking on my current role as Care Manager at Heritage Healthcare Barnsley. Since joining, I’ve helped grow our office from a team of just six staff and ten clients to over 25 carers and 40 clients, an achievement I’m incredibly proud of.My Motivation:
