This month, Heritage Healthcare Windsor is launching a Home Safety campaign, providing information and advice on supporting your loved ones and neighbours in their own home.
Darker evenings can lead to anxiety for those who are vulnerable, especially with Halloween just around the corner and more people will be out and about.
It’s important to make sure house security is in tip-top condition at this time of year, especially burglar and fire alarms. The changes in the weather means household heating systems need to be checked, and having the number of a local and reliable handy person is always useful when needed.
This month, we will be sharing advice on keeping yourself, family and neighbours safe in their home. In the lead up to Halloween, we will be releasing our ‘Beware Who You Scare’ poster. Many children and teenagers will be dressing up in costumes and knocking on the doors of their neighbours which can frighten some vulnerable people. Our poster can be printed and placed in the window on Halloween night to tell trick-or-treaters not to knock.
