May is Stroke Awareness Month and here’s what we are doing to show our support.
Make May Purple is an annual event hosted Stroke Association to help raise awareness of the effects of a stroke.
This month, we will be showing our support by not only sharing information and advice through our own Stroke Awareness Month campaign, but we will be baking cakes, holding a raffle & wearing purple!
On Wednesday 22nd May, our office team will be dressing up in their coolest 80’s purple clothing. We will be bringing in cakes and sweet treats to enjoy and our raffle will see our care team win fabulous prizes to help raise funds for the Stroke Association.
If you’d like to help us in supporting Make May Purple, you can join in our bake sale or purchase a raffle ticket from our office: Heritage Healthcare Wakefield, 2A The Gateway, Fryers Way, Wakefield, WF5 9TJ.
A stroke can strike at any time, affecting anyone at any age. We want to help raise awareness of how we can all help stroke survivors in our communities, be prepared by learning the FAST test and help fund the important research that will go into finding a cure.
At Heritage Healthcare Wakefield, we provide our clients with bespoke care to help them remain living independently and comfortably at home for longer. Our services include personal care, companionship, domestic duties, dementia support, palliative and end-of-life care. We tailor ever care plan to the unique wishes and needs of our clients, working with their families and external healthcare professionals.
