Our Team - Heritage Healthcare Trafford

Our Trusted Team

We carefully recruit and train our care team to the highest possible standards. All staff members are DBS checked to an enhanced level and are fully insured with public liability cover. Heritage Healthcare Trafford Carers always wear a uniform and carry identification badges with photographic ID for added security and peace of mind.

Mark Collier

Managing Director

Mark really became passionate about the care industry in the 7 years he spent caring for his late mother following her diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease. After seeing first-hand the standards of care available in their area, Mark decided to research the market, complete his care diplomas and start his very own home care business offering clients a bespoke service. The current Chairman of the Trafford Carers Centre Organisation and Cyril Flint Volunteer, Mark takes a very hands-on approach as Managing Director, regularly visiting clients, taking them for day trips and organising coffee mornings for the local elderly community.

Michael Collier

Operations Director

Michael is responsible for company operations and ensuring every client receives an outstanding service. Michael said, “Carers have to arrive on time, be well presented and be ambassadors for Heritage Healthcare Trafford at all times. We are committed to continually improving our service and, by constantly monitoring our service through innovative technologies, we can implement the best possible business processes and make decisions that will improve the lives of our clients. Our Service Users are at the heart of everything we do.”

Wendy Gorton

Registered Care Manager

Registered Care Manager Wendy Gorton has over 20 years’ experience working within the NHS on Assessment Units for older patients with Dementia and adults with varied mental health conditions. She utilises her vast experience in dealing with challenging behaviours and delivering solutions to enable people to remain living as independently as possible within their own homes. Wendy said, “People are living longer and as such, are developing more, longer term, complex and challenging needs which have to be met. The homecare landscape is changing and providers need to move from a home help service to a more person centred healthcare focus.”

Alex Collier

HR Director

Alex is responsible for the companies recruitment & retention strategy, ensuring that only the best people make it through the candidate selection process. Alex also ensures that all staff members are well equipped for their job, monitoring all training records, as it is crucial all staff members have the best and most up to date training. Alex said “Quite simply, in order to provide the best care possible we need caring and compassionate people who are always willing to go the extra mile for our clients”. As well as being responsible for the recruitment & retention Alex also works closely with Sayyied to create and implement new marketing campaigns.

Emma Sharples

Care Supervisor

Emma previously studied at university and gained a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology, she works closely with Wendy when onboarding new service users and building care packages and support plans. Emma also makes sure that all current clients are happy with their service and if any changes need to be made they’re implemented as smoothly as possible. To provide the best care possible staff know that if they have any problems or queries they are able to speak to either Wendy or Emma and discuss any concerns they may have. “Increasingly more people want to remain in their own home, anything we can do to support their lifestyle and to allow this will only enrich their wellbeing further”.

Jake Gorton
