At Heritage Healthcare, we provide expert care to individuals within their own homes, and we recognise how important and challenging the role of a carer can be. This ‘Carers Week’, we want to raise awareness of the carers in our community to help make caring visible and valued.
As most of us stayed home to help minimise the spread of COVID-19, the UK’s keyworkers have kept the country going and were a vital point of contact between clients and their loved ones.
Throughout the past year, our care team have taken every precaution necessary to stop the spread of the virus. With many new challenges, constant guideline changes and multiple lockdowns, our team have put on their PPE, took regular COVID tests and worked hard to continue providing support to clients, allowing them to stay at home safely.
Our care team has been providing vital support to clients and allowing them to feel more comfortable at home by helping collect essential items and medications, completing household tasks and being a much-needed friendly companion.
As many individuals were separated from their friends and family, Home Care Assistants have brought a sense of reassurance for vulnerable people and their family members. They are able to provide company, celebrate birthdays and holidays, and ensure our clients are comfortable and healthy at home.
We want to say thank you to every Heritage Healthcare carer who has continued to support our clients during this difficult time; you are inspiring!
