Dr Ijeoma (Ijay) Azodo

Managing Director/Care Manager

Ijay is a Registered General Nurse and Public Health professional with over 15 years experience in healthcare. She has held various staff nurse roles in both the NHS and private sector. Ijay completed a three year public health research sponsored by the NHS which was aimed at improving public health service and led to her obtaining a doctorate degree. Having studied Public Health, Ijay has also been a Lecturer in Public Health and Social Care. She has been a volunteer in her local “Community Health Champions’; using her time and skills to help others. Ijay is very passionate about health improvement and protection; this in addition to her caring nature, led her to start up Heritage Healthcare Romford. As the Care Manager, Ijay leads the highly skilled care team in delivering efficient, reliable and responsive care to our clients.

At Heritage Healthcare Romford we have a caring and compassionate team, trained as professionals. We truly believe that we are nothing without the commitment and hard work we get from our staff and use a rigorous recruitment process to attract and keep good people with a caring and compassionate character who want to help our clients. We fully understand that in order to support our staff well, training and qualifications are important to enable them to deliver the best possible service. In addition, to a five day induction and training programme, we have an ongoing programme of staff training and professional development covering. We ensure that staff have the skills required to fully support individual clients and so further training is provided to adapt to changing client needs.
