Care Assistant (Home Care – 20 hours per week – Emergency Responder)

Heritage Healthcare North East is looking for a dedicated Home Care Assistant and Emergency Responder to join the team.

Heritage Healthcare North East is looking for dedicated Home Care Assistant and Emergency Responder to join the team and support individuals in their own home across Teesside areas, including Thornaby, Stockton, Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland.

This role is for an Emergency Responder who will cover care calls between 5pm-10pm and able to respond to and receive emergency calls as they come in.

Guaranteed 20 hours per week, 5pm – 10pm. Driving essential for this role.

As an Emergency Responder and Home Care Assistant, you will be providing personal care and support through a variety of tasks which helps to make a true and real difference to peoples lives. This role focuses on enabling individuals to access their community, enjoy daily activities and live independently within their own home.

Requirements:

  • Personal qualities: Our Care Assistants are enthusiastic, caring, friendly, trustworthy, compassionate and reliable,
  • Transport: We ask our Care Assistants to hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
  • Flexibility: This role is to cover care calls between 5pm – 10pm, during evenings and weekends, and able to respond to emergency care calls as they come in.
  • Qualifications: A QCF Level 2 in Care (or equivalent) is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience: Some previous In Home Caregiver experience would be an advantage but full training is provided
