Supporting Age UK’s Local Community Clubs
POSTED: 02/04/2024
We volunteer at Age UK's local community clubs, supporting seniors with companionship and practical assistance
At Heritage Healthcare Windsor we volunteer at local community clubs held by Age UK. These clubs provide essential support and companionship for seniors in our area, and we’re proud to be part of their efforts.
Creating Social Spaces
These community clubs help combat social isolation among seniors by creating vibrant social spaces for them to socialise and meet new people. Our presence at these events allows for them to run more smoothly and adds extra faces for the seniors to meet, fostering connections and meaningful interactions.
Providing Engaging Activities
Our volunteers, Sheilla, Gerry & Daljit, assist during workshops, discussions, and activities like exercise classes and arts sessions to keep seniors engaged and stimulated.
Building Connections
We take time to listen to the seniors, learn from their experiences, and build lasting connections that go beyond the club meetings.
Volunteering at Age UK’s local community clubs is a privilege. We’re grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the well-being of seniors in our community. Join us in spreading warmth and companionship!
