JOB ROLE:
- Deliver personal care and support to clients, adhering to their individual care plans
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Aid clients with mobility and transfers, including the use of manual handling equipment
- Prepare and assist with meal feeding as required
- Administer medication according to care plans and medication policies
- Observe and report changes in clients' health and well-being to the care manager or healthcare professionals
- Participate in social activities and outings with clients, as outlined in their care plans
- Keep accurate records of care services provided, including daily logs and medication records
- Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure clients receive high-quality care
- Follow health and safety policies and procedures to ensure the safety of clients and colleagues
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience as a care assistant required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with clients and colleagues
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, using initiative when necessary
- A compassionate nature and a genuine desire to support and care for others
- Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve issues effectively
- Willingness to participate in further training and development as needed
