We are thrilled to share a heart-warming story about Simon, one of our valued clients, who recently overcame a significant challenge with the support of our dedicated Care Co-ordinator, Carol. Over the past few weeks, Carol has been assisting Simon in the process of obtaining a vehicle tailored to his needs, aiming to enhance his quality of life.

During this journey, Registered Care Manager Lisa, and Carol went above and beyond by visiting several garages, as well as contacting a specialist garage in Newcastle, to find the perfect car for Simon.

The vehicle they found is fully adapted to meet Simon’s specific needs, with modifications such as the removal of back seats to create more space and the installation of a wheelchair winch to assist him in getting in and out of the car. Despite a process that could have taken up to a year, their dedication ensured that Simon received his customised vehicle within two weeks.

Today, we are delighted to report that Simon has received his vehicle and is over the moon with it. This addition to his life will not only facilitate enjoyable days out but also enable him to go on holidays, significantly improving his overall well-being and independence.
