Heritage Healthcare Cardiff Team Joins Alzheimer's Memory Walk
POSTED: 19/09/2023
In a heartwarming display of community support and dedication, the Heritage Healthcare Cardiff team participated in the Alzheimer’s Memory Walk on Sunday, September 17th, 2023.
Memorable day
On Sunday 17th September the Heritage Healthcare Cardiff carers, service users and their families joined together to participate in the Alzheimer’s Memory Walk in Bute Park. Despite the rainy weather, the team and community showcased incredible spirit and compassion. Making the event a memorable and joyful occasion.
Fundraising Target
However, their commitment did not end with their participation in the walk. As proof of their dedication, the team successfully surpassed their fundraising target, with more donations still trickling in. Once all of the donations are in, they will be sent to the charity and a public announcement of how much they have raised will be made.
Special Thanks
We couldn’t have done it without help from the generous team at Terra Nova Café at Roath Park, whose immense contribution of £150 significantly boosted the fundraising efforts. To truly show their support to the cause, one of their team members also joined use on the walk with her mother-in-law, that our team cares for.
Further appreciation is deserved by Toby Carvery Whitchurch, whose exceptional post-walk support truly stood out. Offering their events room without any charge, Toby Carvery ensured a seamless experience for all participants, especially for our service users, by providing nutritious food directly to them. Their attentive service, constant assistance, as well as capturing precious moments elevated the day, making it even more special and memorable for everyone involved.
The Heritage Healthcare Cardiff Team is greatly thankful for the continuous support they had received throughout the day and eagerly anticipate returning to Toby Carvery Whitchurch in the near future. This remarkable journey represents the dedication of the team to enhancing the lives of those affected by Alzheimer’s and advancing critical research towards it.
