How Heritage Healthcare Carers Support Clients at Home

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, our care teams have continued to deliver essential care and support to allow vulnerable people to remain living at home safely.

With support from our care team, clients are able to continue living independently at home without having to move into residential care. Our care team provide a range of services, all matched to the needs and requirements of our clients. These services include:

Personal Care – when a client finds it difficult or is unable to complete daily personal care tasks, our care team will help in a dignified and sensitive manner. We support with bathing, grooming, and dressing, eating and drinking, monitories nutrition and weight, and supporting with medication. Our service is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) or Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW), following important guidelines to ensure safety and comfort.

Household Help – keeping up with household tasks can become a struggle. To help our clients keep their homes clean and tidy, we help with laundry, dusting, vacuuming, and collecting groceries. We want our clients to feel comfortable and proud of their home so will support however we can to make that possible.

Companionship – loneliness has become an issue within our older generation; 76% of older people in the UK said they often felt lonely. Every client of Heritage Healthcare benefits from a friendly face regularly visiting during their care calls. Our companionship service keeps the mind active by chatting to clients about current events or reminiscing on fond memories. Some clients may want to be taken out into their community, either to visit the local shops, meet friends and family for a coffee or to take part in a social activity.

Complex needs – in many cases, our clients are living with a lifelong or progressive health condition that makes completing daily tasks harder to complete. Through our high-quality training, we ensure our care team can provide bespoke and dedicated care to clients with conditions, such as dementia, Parkinson’s disease, the after-effects of a stroke or issues with mobility.

We focus on delivering a person-centred service that is tailored to the individual needs of our clients. Becoming a Home Carer with Heritage Healthcare is a rewarding career choice, allowing you to do something amazing by supporting your local community.
