Heritage Healthcare is focused on providing expert care at home to allow more people to remain independent for longer.
This month, we are discussing the importance of dignity in care and how we can become Dignity Champions by following the 10 Dignity Do’s.
Led by the Dignity Council, the Dignity in Care campaign promotes access to dignity as a human right for all. Organisations, charities and individuals across the UK are inspired to sign up as Dignity Champions and highlight the core values of the campaign; to have dignity in their hearts, minds and actions, change the culture of services and place a greater emphasis on improving the quality of care and the experience of citizens.
As a Dignity Champion, we are willing to stand up and challenge disrespectful behaviour and act as a role model by treating others how we would want to be treated. We are committed to supporting the development of a compassionate and respectful care system. We ensure the services we provide is delivered with dignity and use our experience to support our colleagues and peers on the importance of dignified care.
Delivering a dignified care service is second nature to our team. We focus on developing bespoke care plans tailored to an individual’s wishes and requirements that can be adapting to their changing health needs. Our services have allowed clients to feel safe at home, with support from a trusted carer they can form a comfortable friendship with.
Our clients are at the centre of our care service, and we ensure they can easily communicate with our team any queries or concerns they may have. They can have trust in our carers, as they are all trained to the highest standard to deliver expert care at home.
Becoming a Dignity Champion is simple; all you need to do is click here and add your name to the pledge, joining over 100,000 individuals and organisations who are also committed to promoting dignified and respectful care.
